Russell D. Lincoln, 74, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lynn (Daigle) Lincoln. Russell was born in Hartford on March 28, 1948, son of the late Charles and Barbara (Waite) Lincoln. He graduated from Kingswood School in West Hartford before earning his Bachelor’s degree from Clark University. He went on to a successful career in kitchen cabinet sales and design, most recently working for Cucina Design. Russell enjoyed working with his hands and had notes, graphs, and charts for everything. If a gadget didn’t solve his problems, he knew blue painter’s tape would! He was always grateful for the little details, never overlooking one of them. Russell appreciated the outdoors: camping with the Boy Scouts, hiking, and sailing the ocean, especially his summers spent at Groton Long Point. Russell’s love for the Lord brought him joy, hope and guidance, and was evident in the life he lived. He cherished his time spent at Tabernacle Christian Church, Gateway Christian Fellowship, and Oasis of Life Church. Russell found great comfort and joy in playing the guitar and harmonica, especially playing and listening to worship music. Russell truly loved life and thought every day was a gift. In the same way he loved life, he loved people, and people loved him just as much. Russell was often more worried about others than he was himself. Even after his cancer diagnosis, he still put those around him first. He was and forever shall be a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.Along with his wife, Lynn, he is survived by his children Jeremy Lincoln of Nebraska, Jessica Bird and her husband Steven of South Carolina, and Christopher Lincoln and Kate Smith of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his step-children Julie Chamberland and her husband Keith of Newington, John Schenk of Ohio, Lora Schenk and Darren Worth of Meriden, and Daniel Schenk of Rocky Hill; 15 grandchildren; brother Anthony Lincoln of West Virginia; sister-in-law Pam Lincoln of Guilford; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles “Terry” Lincoln, III, and Jeffrey Lincoln.
