RussellAlton Snell, age 74, a lifelong resident of Halifax, died Sunday, November 18, at his son’s home in Plymouth. He was the loving father of Dwayne Snell and his wife Janell of Plymouth, and Wendy Pioppi and her husband Peter of Carver. He was loving grandfather to Joshua and Hannah Snell of Plymouth and Peter Jr. ,Dakota, and Ava Pioppi of Carver. Russell is also survived his sister Barbara DaHill. Born in Brockton MA on May 6, 1944, son of the late Alton B. Snell and Louise (Johnson) Fratus. He was a graduate of Silver Lake High School, and later went on to make his career, of over 32 years, as a boat finisher for the Boston Whaler company. Russell was an avid hunter and trapper, and loved to fly remote control planes.
