Russ McDonald, 91, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was born in Ironton, OH to parents Clarence and Essie McDonald. He attended school in Ironton, and then worked at the Dayton Malleable Iron Co. as a machinist for 14 years. In 1957 he moved to Florida and took employment with the Martin Company in Orlando. He married Donna Cornea on December 18, 1965.
After retiring he started making trick coins, folding coins and two headed coins. He became known as the “Coin Man”.
Russ is survived by his wife Donna McDonald; daughters Connie Hitt and Renee Cole; son Shawn McDonald; sister Rita Cole; niece Cordy Frei and her two children. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Catherine Gray; brother Clarence McDonald Jr; brother in law Alphon Cole and nephew Phillip Cole.
