Rupert George Morris, was born on June 20, 1954, at the Percy Junior hospital in Spalding Jamaica to Hyacinth Maud Mason & Justin Morris. He grew up in Chudleigh Manchester Jamaica with mother and went to live with his father in Ritchie Clarendon when he was a teenager after his mother migrated to the United States.
After migrating to the United States to join his mother and siblings Rupert, attended and graduated Coolidge High School In Washington DC. While living in DC he acquired is nickname “Lazy” for having a quiet demeanor. He also obtained various other nicknames from his friends, but he was especially known for being an amazing Chef, great mechanic & his astound love for music which led him to become one of the head DJ’s for the Popular sound system Emperor Sound in the 80’s.
In addition to many his many talents Rupert also worked as mechanic for many years prior to acquiring various positions at George Washington University. He was as dedicated as they come, not to mention Loyal and spent the next 35 years at GW with perfect attendance. Over the years at GW he cultivated many deep and meaningful relationships with some whom are now family members.
Rupert is survived by his Son Richard Lawrence, Brother Pablo Morris and eleven sisters, Amy Reid, Gloria Butt, Aldith Donaldson, Dorothy Morgan, Millicent King, Maureen Morris, Pauline Morris, Lileth Morris, Claudette Morris, Lorraine Morris and Rose Morris. Aunts Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and dear friends. Rupert will now be resting wit his parents Hyacinth Mason & Justin Morris and his brothers Lloyd Donaldson and Leslie Morris.
