Obituary of Rudolph Vargas
Our beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was 62 years old. Rudolph Vargas was born on October 10, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Alberto and Pauline (Jimenez) Vargas, Sr. He married the love of his life, Connie F. Gallardo on April 1, 2006; she survives him. Rudy worked for over 35 years for his family business, Vargas Bakery. He was an avid bowler and was proud of the many achievements and awards he won, especially bowling a 300 game. He also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Rudy loved playing baseball, and especially enjoyed watching both wresting and the Detroit Tigers. Rudy had a larger than life personality and truly cherished both singing and dancing. He will forever be remembered for his sarcasm, sense of humor and his love and devotion to his family. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mary Dymek, Great Lakes Pace, A&D Hospice Aides: Carleen Williams, Luanda Canty, and Wendy.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 10 years, Connie F. Vargas of Saginaw; three daughters and two sons: SueLynn (Redd) Vargas, Tynisha Gallardo, Tanya Vargas, Jesus (Alexis) Gallardo, and Jason (Allison) Vargas; 13 grandchildren: Anna-Alicia, Cecelia, Maria, Nia’Miyah, Alexia, Asia’ Lyn, Marissa, Layla, Delano Jr., Rudal, Mon’Tevius, Raymon, and Theotis Jr.; three great granddaughters; one great grandson on the way; father, Alberto Vargas, Sr.; six sisters: Lucy (Jesse) Jimenez, Rosemary (Marcello) Juarez, Alice Varney, Alejandra Vargas, Felicitas (Booze) Vargas, and Pauline (Larry) Najera; five brothers: Henry (Emily) Olivarez, Richard (Connie) Olivarez, Albert Vargas, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Vargas; a son, Rudy Anthony “Punky” Vargas; and an aunt, Helen Barrera.
