He served his country proudly in the United States Army and then went on to be a systems analyst for the State of Maryland at the Department of Motor Vehicles for 28 years. He was a member of the Masons – Corinthian Lodge in Towson, the Elks Lodge, and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football, playing basketball in high school, traveling, and reading.
