DURHAM- Ms. Ruby Turner Capps, 93, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020.
Ms. Capps was born on July 9, 1926 to James and Mittie Turner in Granville County, NC. Ruby was employed at Liggett and Meyers Tobacco Company for over 44 years. She had a contagious laugh and giggle, and enjoyed listening to Gospel music. Her greatest joy was raising her son, Ronald. Ruby will be lovingly remembered by all blessed to have known her.
Ms. Capps is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mittie Turner; son, Ronald Larry Capps; brothers, Berkley Turner, James Turner, Robert Turner, Hardy Turner, Pete Turner, Charles Turner, Albert Turner; sisters, Bertha Harris, Helen Turner, Mildred Hawley, Nellie Higgs, and Thelma Turner. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and her close friend, Daniel Furr.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Gray Rock United Methodist Church, 4173 Gray Rock Rd, Kittrell, NC 27533.
