Ruby and her husband, Hoyt owned Whaley Grocery Store in Dalton for 50 years. Ruby is preceded in death by her father, Chester Talley; sons, Maverick Whaley and ; great grandchild, Vanessa Whaley.
Ruby is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Hoyt “Dido” Whaley of Dalton; step son and step daughter-in-law, James and Brenda Whaley of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Marie Talley of Dalton, Chester and Dorlis Talley of Tunnel Hill, Vernon and Martha Talley of Calhoun, Kenneth and Sandie Talley of Calhoun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and Don Klotz of Resaca, Gwen and Charles Harris of Plainville; grandchildren, Wendy and Kevin Curtis, Korie Whaley, Tressie and Scott Mays, Melissa Whaley-Ramos and Eligio; great grandchildren, Maverick Curtis, Kolby Curtis, Kyle Whaley, Jessica Torres, Erik Whaley, Nathaniel Mays, Megan Mays, Vive Whaley, Ellianna Ramos, Trish Patterson, Denise Patterson, Charlie Patterson; great great grandchild, Christian Rodriguez.
