Ruby Watson of Cocoa, Florida passed away peacefully at her home with her 3 daughters by her side. She went to to be with her Lord on Friday, July 5th 2019 at the age of 88. She was born in Rutledge, Tennessee and was the baby of 9 children. She graduated from Rutledge High School. After graduating from high school she worked as a waitress at the Rutledge Inn.
After meeting her late husband Bruce, at the age of 14 (1945). They married when she was 18 years old, in 1949. They later moved to Cocoa, Florida with their family in 1953, and Ruby continued to work as a Waitress at The White Caps, Wolfies, and The Neptune.
Bruce and Ruby started a successful family business of Watson Paving Inc, with several others businesses to follow. Those businesses were WWG Asphalt Company, Watson Truck and Auto Parts, Brevard Road Materials, and Watson/Baxley Citrus Groves.
She is preceded in death by her late husband of 61 years,Bruce Watson, her parents Jeff & Mary Scott, and 5 brothers Mitchell, John, Bob, Bill, Herbert and 2 sisters May and Mollie. She has 1 living brother Hubert Scott of Pell City, Al.
She is survived by 3 daughters Mary Long (Jack), Evelyn Goodson (Tom) , Kitty Bouck/Shuman (Stan). 7 Grandchildren LeAnn Ferrell (Dana), Billy Long (Michelle), Travis Goodson (Erin), Jeffery Long (Angie), Lindsey Rapacz (Brad), Darin Bouck and Kaylee Bouck; 12 Great Grandchildren, Lauren (Ricky), Mason, Chase, Julia, Jackson, Marissa, Holden, Mia, Taylor, Brantley, Jayden, Aaliyah; 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Weston and Haleigh and many nieces and nephews.
