Ruby Lee Kornegay Head, age 79, died Monday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Kornegay and the late Minnie Wiggins Kornegay Dail. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Ferrell and brothers, James Clifton Kornegay and Elton Ray Kornegay. She was formerly employed with Kemp Furniture Industries and the Candy Kitchen. For many years Ruby and her husband, the late Linwood E. Head, were active in the Goldsboro Pentecostal Holiness Church.
