Ruby Lee Jezek Divis, 91, died on January 25, 2020 and was born in Oscar, Texas on April 6, 1928 to Adolph and Idell (Burtis) Jezek.
She was raised and attended school in Little Flock, Texas. She moved to Temple when she was 14 years of age with her sister Doris. They worked for Max and Florence Feldt owners of Feldt Manufacturing sewing factory. In 1954 the Divis Czech Orchestra was playing at Seaton Star Hall in Seaton, TX when Ruby and John met. Ruby Lee Jezek married John Divis on April 16, 1955 in Temple, Texas. She spent all of her life in Temple and the surrounding East Side Bell County area where she was a hard working homemaker, wife and Momma. Ruby was a great Momma, friend, who loved to cook, bake and can. She also worked at Texas Instruments from 1977 to 1995.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband John, a son Darryl, her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ruby is survived by a brother Robert Jezek of Durango, TX, 3 children, Cheryl and her husband Richard Marsh of Flagler Beach, FL, Kevin Divis of Hutto, Texas, and Janice Divis of Temple, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Alisha Henn of Temple, TX, Kristina and Benjamin (Northam) Bailey of Frisco, TX, Garrett Paine of Cedar Park, TX, and Brayden Divis of Buda, TX and 2 great grand-children.
