Ruby Higginbotham Bolton Delph, 94, Anderson, died September 16, 2006 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. She was born March 2, 1912 in Sharp County, Arkansas.
Ruby moved at an early age to Missouri and then to Anderson in 1942. She retired in 1972 from DelcoRemy Division of General Motors after 30 years of employment.
Ruby was a member of Lindberg Road Church of Christ. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. For many years, she wintered in Bradenton, Florida.
She is survived by her Daughter: Karen Carl Baker; Son: Charles Myrna Bolton; Five Step-sons: Tom, Richard, Gary, Stephen, and Ronald Delph; Grandchildren: Cindy Stookey of Indpls, Lori Ravenscraft Bolton & Bryan Bolton both of Anderson, Laura Bolton of Marina Del Rey, CA; & Nancy Bolton of Pahoa Hawaii. Great Grandchildren: Justin Bolton, Sean Stuart, Kyle Ravenscraft and Autumn Stookey all of Anderson. Great Great Grandchildren: Madison Bolton and Cadence Bolton. Brothers: Russell Higginbotham of Pendleton and Calvin Higginbotham of Anderson. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her 2nd husband: Everett Delph in 1994; and first husband: Charles M. Bolton in 1956. Parents: George and Laura Dernell Higginbotham Granddaughter: Kelly Brewer. Brothers: Clyde, Carl, & Chalk Higginbotham. Sisters: Clemie Burris, Lana Passwater, & Tellie Roberts.
