Ruby G. Holt, age 98, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Walter B. Holt, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, February 13, 2014 surrounded by her two loving daughters. Born in Plainville, CT the daughter of the late Emil and Elsie Goranson, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1950. She was a member of the first graduating class at Central Connecticut State College where she met her future husband, Walter. Prior to raising her daughters, she worked as a school teacher. Mrs. Holt was a talented and artistic quilter, seamstress and needlework artist who delighted in making clothing for her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved making sweaters for her family. She was a member of the Quilters Club at the Fairfield Senior Center. Mrs.
