Ruby Dana Gandy 63 of 804 College Street passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at her home.
On Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the comfort of her home, GOD called Ruby Dana Gandy to her heavenly home.
“Di”, as she was affectionately called by her loved ones and friends, was born to the late Jesse Lee Brewington, Jr. and late Bertha Lee Brewington on January 16, 1954.
In 1972 she graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, NJ. She eventually moved to Clinton, NC in 1982. “Di” was very active member in Clinton Family Worship Center, and she was involved in the choir, bible study and Sunday school. She loved a good yard sale and thrift store.
She was very proud of her elephant collection, makeup and fashion.
She’s preceded in death by her husband Calvin Lewis Gandy and sister Peggy Joann Long.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: Sons, Maurice Brewington of Clinton, Stephen Brewington of Norfolk, VA,
7 grandchildren; sister: Vanessa (Raymond) Pevery of NJ, Brothers: Jesse Brewington of Lillington, NC, James L Brewington of Greensboro, NC; an uncle, an aunt, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
