Ruby Boyd Carpenter unexpectedly passed away on January 13, 2008 at Halifax Medical Center. She was born in Ft. Lauderdale and traveled throughout Florida, then settled in Madison with her husband Arthur where they built a thriving aviation business together. She fell in love with the Edgewater area where they purchased a vacation home which soon became a primary residence. Ruby was involved full-time in the business until the time of her passing.
Her favorite past-time was to sit on the dock and watch her river in all of its glory. This is the place where she felt at peace.
Ruby was predeceased by her father Floyd Boyd. Ruby is survived by her husband Arthur E. Carpenter, a step-daughter, Heather Bass of Spring Hill, 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Bass, her mother, Julie Boyd of DeLand, brother, Bob and his wife Cheryl of West Palm, sister, Beverly of Edgewater, Arthur’s sister Eleanor of San Francisco, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and their extended families.
