Ruben Sepeda Contreras, Jr., 84, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Solara Hospital.
Mr. Contreras was a lifetime resident of Harlingen, TX, born on August 10, 1937 to Ruben & Guadalupe Contreras.
Ruben joined the United States Army on September 14, 1961 and was honorably discharged on August 8, 1966. He retired from HEB after working for other establishments.
Mr. Contreras was a kind, loving, caring, & devoted son, brother, father, & grandfather.
He is survived by his two sons, Ruben Contreras III (Aida) & Xavier Contreras (Sandra); three grandchildren, Matthew Joseph, Eliana Danielle, & Gabriella Victoria Contreras; three sisters, Carolina Rodriguez (Florida), Elisa McCrary (Indiana), & Rachel Garcia (New Mexico); one brother, Baltazar (Jane) Contreras (Harlingen); numerous nieces, nephews, and one grandnephew, Judah M. Contreras.
Ruben is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Sara Garcia Contreras and son, Sergio Contreras; sister, Rebecca Cortez; and two brothers, Frank & Sam Contreras.
