Ruben Barajas, age 62, of Harlingen, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born September 9, 1958, in Brownfield, Texas to Jose Q. and Maria De Jesus Cerda Barajas. He is survived by his siblings, Graciela (Daniel) Rodriguez, Maria Elena (Lazaro) Benavidez, Juan Jose (Judy) Barajas, and Raul Barajas.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Alberto Barajas, Reynaldo C. Barajas, Carolina Barajas, Andres C. Barajas; and parents, Jose Q. and Maria De Jesus Cerda Barajas.
Ruben leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish his beautiful memory. He worked at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health for a period of time, where many of his coworkers enjoyed his company. Ruben loved listening to his music and dancing. He also loved his Harlingen Cardinals, especially cheering for them in the stadium on game days.
