Mr. Klahr died May 27, 2010, at his home in Eunice. He was born December 3, 1954, in Big Spring, Texas. He married Linda Fields on June 11, 1976.
Royce granduated from Eunice High School in 1973. He attended NMJC and NMSU. Royce worked for Mobil Oil for 17 years then took over his dads business, Klahr Pumping, until his death.
Royce fought a very courageous fight with cancer. The cancer was in remission for two years before it returned. He never lost courage or hope that he would win the battle. He was a No. 1 fan for Texas Tech Red Raiders.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Klahr of Eunice his mother, Maryr Klahr of Eunice, a sister, Mary Ann Foster and husband Clifton of Peoria, Arizona and a niece Stacy Foster of Peoria, Arizona.
