Roy Clarke Sr., was the patriarch of the Clarke family and he set the foundation for the legacy he’s built with the love of his life, Caradine ‘Cherry’ Clarke. Roy was one of two siblings born to Clive Clarke and Clarine Clarke on April 21, 1938 in Belize.
Roy’s lively spirit was unmatched and if you were ever in his presence, laughter was inevitable.
Roy was gifted with countless creative talents that trickled through the Clarke family tree. Formerly known as DJ Terror, Roy’s musical skills inspired his sons to create their own DJ legacy, System One Sounds. Roy’s love for music ran deep and you knew he was home when hearing classic to current popular hits blasting from his Quincy street bedroom. Roy was also known for creating beautiful hand-crafted string art and 3D kites, one of them winning an esteemed award. Roy was also known for his perfectly fried sweet plantains, preparing evening ovaltine for him and his wife, collecting tons (we mean tons) of scratch-offs, playing card games (especially Solitaire) and watching African films.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Clive and Clarine Clarke; sister, Edna Elizabeth-Clarke; and sons, Roy Clarke Jr, Rodney Clarke and Charlie Clarke. Roy leaves behind to cherish his many memories, his loving wife, Caradine ‘Cherry’ Clarke; Daughter Paulette Clarke; Sons, Paul Clarke, Michael Clarke, Keith Clarke and Clive Clarke; Seventeen Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren, Four Extended Grandchildren, Five Extended Daughters. Roy also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Roy will be missed beyond words by everyone that’s experienced his one of a kind spirit and his memories will live on forever in all of our hearts. We will trust in God that all is well with his soul and he is now resting in perfect peace. We love you forever and ever, Roy.
