ALLEN, ROY M.- Roy M. Allen passed away on November 14, 2020 in Roswell, New Mexico. Roy was born August 10, 1945 in Roswell to Vera Inez (Wright) and Ned Weatherbee Allen. Roy grew up in Roswell, and during his school years he was very active in sports. On June 7,1967 Roy and Ned started Allen Roofing. Roy was the president of Allen Roofing Company and was very active in the company for 46 years until his retirement in 2013. Roy also worked at LGS Gun Shop parttime.
Roy and Jacqueline S. (Daniels) Davidson were married October 5, 1968 at the Corona
Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Jacque; daughter, Heather Allen; son, Heath Allen (Jeff), and Wiley (Molly) Maloney. Roy is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, extended family members, and brother, Ardist (Sylvia) Allen.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Willard and Henry, paternal grandfather, E. A. (Poppa) Allen, and maternal grandparents, Charley and Emma Wright.
Roy was sincerely loved and respected by many friends and acquaintances in the community. He was fondly referred to as “UNCLE ROY” by many of his young friends. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, and playing poker. He was a devoted husband and a father who took great pride in his family.
