Mr. Cox died Tuesday September 29, at his residence. He was born May 27, 1915 in New Orleans to Samuel Adams Cox and Agnes (Barrilleaux) Cox. He married Rita (Guidry) Cox on June 27, 1939. He is preceded in death by his wife; a son, David Cox and a grandson, Christopher Cox.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Lester Cox, Jr. of Houston and Rod Cox of Belton; two grandchildren, Erin McCormick and husband Doug and Josh Cox and wife Tami and eight great grandchildren, Ciara, Steven, Ethan, Annabeth, William, Madeline, Juliet and Lauren.
