Roy H. Fuller, MSGT, USAF, RET’D, passed away peacefully, October 7, 2013, at his home with his loving family at his side.

He was born August 22, 1936, in Carthage, NY, a son of the late Herbert and Lula Benson Fuller, and educated in Carthage schools. Roy was united in marriage to the former Patricia Rounds on February 8, 1958, in Carthage, NY. He proudly and faithfully served in the USAF for over 22 years and retired in 1979. While in the Air Force, he served 4 combat tours in Vietnam and was awarded 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, a Silver Star and many other awards and medals. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a supervisor at Rome Cable Corp. He was a life member of the VFW, Rome Post 2246.

Roy loved the outdoors and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He also was an avid bowler and enjoyed the many friendships he made over the years. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Veterans Administration Clinic at Griffiss for many years.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; three daughters and sons in law, Penny Fuller and Donald Faatz of Sterling, VA, Robin and Donald Lydick of Dalzel, SC, and Pam and Gene DeHart of Rome; a son and daughter in law, Roy and Amy Fuller of Rome; three sisters and two brothers in law, Helen and Billy Russell of Carthage, Ruth and Tony Melendez of Evans Mills, and Betty Schack of Carthage; a brother and sister in law, Albert and Leanne Fuller of Sunrise, FL; grandchildren, Candra, Ashley, Nichole, Rachel, Kyle, Brianna, Kealy and Kristopher; great grandchildren Elijah, Jacob, Levi and Noah; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Estella, a sister, Sheila Lalonde, a brother, Arthur Fuller, and grandson, Brad Lydick.
