Roy Guy Palmer, 70, resident of Parker, Colorado, passed away due to cancer, on Monday, February 7th, 2022, at home surrounded by family. He was born on September 14th, 1951, in Michigan to Raymond and Mary Lou Palmer. He attended Arvada West High School in Arvada Colorado. Roy retired from BMC West after working with them for over 40 years working as a truss designer. One of his favorite quotes was, “live life on the edge”, of which he took to heart, and tried to live his best life every day. He thoroughly enjoyed being in the outdoors, and often practiced this by camping, fishing, and boating, all at his favorite spot in Colorado; Blue Mesa Reservoir in Curecanti National Recreation Area. Roy had a very dry sense of humor, of which often needed explaining but he always did his best to make a joke of any given situation. One of his favorite hobbies was working out on the lawn with his dogs, wearing his headband while blasting heavy metal through his Bose headphones with the occasional Bloody Mary. Roy also enjoyed gardening and harvesting ghost peppers.
Roy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherry Palmer, and children, Nicholas and Michelle Palmer as well as his mother, Mary Lou, siblings, Dennis, Chris, Dan, Jennifer, and is proceeded in death by his father, Ray, brother Greg, and sister Debbie.
