Roy Grady Cook, 75 of Caldwell, passed away from pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Roy was born October 10, 1940 in Kimball County, Junction, Texas, to Owen W. Cook and Elfie Irene Wallace.
Roy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Cook; 4 children, Lorrie J. (Fred) Dalton, Carole K. Cook, Roger G. (Nancy) Cook and Ronnie R. (Teresa) Cook; Dixie Cook; 8 grandchildren, Brenda L. (Jeff) Ames, Lisa M. (Rob) Soito, Becky J. (Jeremy) Bailey, Roy J. “RJ” (Lydia) Cook, Shantina A. (Tim) Dewaard, Ryson F. Cook, Isabella Cook Garza, and Kayla K. Edwards; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter L. Cook; sisters, Joann Gomer and Elise Fay Cooley; sister-in-law, Donna Duran; brothers-in-law, Ronnie L. Welker and Steven A. Welker; and a special friend, Randy Hoadley; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family more than anything.
The family would like to thank St. Alphonsus Cancer Center in Caldwell and Roy’s hospice nurse, Charles, from St. Alphonsus Hospice.
