Roy G. Marshall, age 72 of Wenona passed away peacefully at 5:40pm Sunday May 27th . He was surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous battle of cancer.
Roy was born June 12, 1939 in Wenona to the late Wayne and Mary Marshall. He married Sue Ellyn Foster on June 18, 1960 in Wenona.
She survives along with four children. Debbie (Steve) McCoy of Washington Illinois, Tracy (Lori) Marshall of Minonk Illinois, John (Nicole) Marshall of Northbrook Illinois, Kathy (Matt) Schertz of ElPaso Illinois. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren: Darin, Stephanie and Sarah McCoy, Brad and Tyler Marshall, Collin and Justin Cremer, Trevor, Owen, Hunter and Walker Marshall.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Cynthia Lynn.
Roy worked as a journeyman mechanic at Foster Motor Sales and retired from Sauder Implement.
He was an avid gardener and enjoyed tinkering around the house. He could fix anything around the house.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy!
