Roy Edwin Lay of Gulf Breeze, Florida born September 28,1935 was called Home to the Lord on Monday, February 3,2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Lay of 64 years, daughter Kathy Naramore (David), son Gordon Lay, and daughter Beth Minor (Lee) along with 5 grandchildren (Anthony, Allison, Benjamin, Lillie~Kate and Seth), 9 Great Grandchildren (Breanna, Austin, Ansley, Camden, Naomi, Helen, Silas, Irene and Paul) 2 Great Great Grandchildren (Sawyer and Adilyn). He was greatly loved, admired and respected by all of his family.
Roy was born September 28,1935 in Coalinga, California and eventually moved to Gate City, Virginia in 1944. There he met his lifetime sweetheart, Peggy Bishop. They were married June 16, 1955. They started their family and eventually ended up in Gulf Breeze, FL in 1964 where they have lived happily for 56 years.
