Roy C. Renwick, age 92 of Midland, passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Colonial Villa. The son of the late Fred and Jenny (Brown) Renwick was born in Saginaw on May 7, 1925. Roy served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. He had been employed and retired from R. C. Hunt Class in Midland. Roy was a member of Sanford United Methodist Church, Midland Historical Society, and a retired Firefighter of both Lincoln Township and Jerome Township Fire Departments. On August 1, 1947 Roy married the former Shirley A. Culbert and after 65 years of marriage she died on January 13, 2013.

Surviving are his children, Terry (Lynn) Renwick of New Palestine, Indiana, Shelley (Charles) Knox of Plainwell, Kevin (Dawn) Renwick of Midland, Helle (Peter) Korsbaek-Fritzburger of Copenhagen, Denmark an exchange student that became part of the family in 1968; 8 grandchildren, Genny (Jerry) Durham, Trevor (Natalie) Renwick, Lauren Mills, Abby (Christian) Marin, Nate and Jon Knox, Heidi (Jason) Vanderbrink and Kevin (Cami) Renwick; great grandchildren, Seth and Kara Durham, Maddox Fate and Grace Vanderbrink, Emmett Renwick and Santiago Marin; brother in-law, Clayton Miller of Midland; sister in-law Irene Renwick of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by his sisters, Rae Muter and Mae Miller; and brother, Dick Renwick.
