Roy C. McClure, 69, passed away early Monday morning, November 5, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital, after an extended illness. Roy was born in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Marvin and Virginia (Chapman) McClure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Buster, Billy, Jimmy, Alfred, Riley and his sister Betty Pressler.

Surviving are 2 sons Robert (Liz Prince) McClure, Ray (Toni) McClure, daughter Tammy (Charles Vanlue) King; longtime companion, Susan Kellar; step-daughter Louisa “Kay” Kellar; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 24 nieces and nephews; brother L.C. (Donna) McClure, sister Irene “Sis” Norman and mother of Roy’s children Kathy Bobilya.

Roy was a supervisor at Bock Industries retiring after 24 years of service. He then operated a western store and tanning salon. One of Roy’s favorite jobs was being the owner and operator of McClure’s Auto Sales.  He was a huge Notre Dame and Alabama football fan. Roy enjoyed drinking Coors Light, making his own wine, playing pool and scratching lottery tickets, tinkering with cars and lawnmowers.

His nightly ritual was watching ABC World News Tonight, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He was also a member of Osceola American Legion. Roy loved to sit on the front porch with family and friends talking and enjoying nature. He had an outside cat he called “Kitty” that he took care of and cooked for her every night.
