Roy A. Anderson, 90, died September 6, 2009 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born March 21, 1919 in Anderson, IN where he lived his entire life. He served his country in the US Army during WWII as a part of the 233rd AAA Searchlight Battalion.
Roy retired from Fisher Guide in 1974 as a special machine builder for 35 years. He was a member of East Lynn Christian Church, Fellowship Masonic Lodge #681, American Legion and VFW Post #266. He enjoyed woodworking, making Indian jewelry, golfing, and bowling. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen L. Coffman Anderson. Daughters: Pamela Jo husband, Jack Gwynn and Janeal Kay husband, Rick Kuhns. Grandchildren: Kara Gwynn, Michael wife, Melissa Gwynn, Scott wife, Rebecca Vannatta and Jeff Kuhns. Great-grandchildren: Shayla Gwynn, Krista Gwynn, Julia Seitz, Jeffrey Seitz, Jason Vannatta, Benjamin Kuhns and Madelyn Kuhns. Several brothers and sisters-in law and nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many special friends, including Jeanine Klein, Ruthita Joy and Thelma Reed.
He was preceded by his parents: Roy Lee and Pearl G. Orrell Anderson. Sisters: Clara Sortor and Janette Dee. Granddaughter: Deidre Ann Gwynn.
