Roxanna was born on April 6, 1935, in Weir, Mississippi to James and Vera Dotson. She was one of seven children: James Jr, Lillie, Russell, Herbert, Earl, and Catherine. Her four brothers, one sister and parents preceded her in death.
Roxanna attended Miller Grade School and Ackerman High School. Mrs. Fox is a 1968 graduate of Mildred Beauty College.
Roxanna (Roxy) was also a licensed Cosmetologist. In 1969 she became the owner and operator of Fox’s Beauty Salon, she remained there until her health required her to retire. Roxanna was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed the events hosted by the Monticello Block Club, crocheting, and sewing.
Roxanna heard the call from her Heavenly Father to come home at 4:57pm, Sunday July 24, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband John J. Fox, daughter Rita Fox, mother Vera Dotson and father James Dotson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three children, Ester “Sonny”, Johnny “Glenn”, and Brenda (Rufus). One sister, Catherine (Claude). Loving grandmother of Donald, Brandi, Randall, JahMesiah, Kaiya, and Kiara. Six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Monticello & Ohio family.
