Obituary of Roxann Kay Eberlein

Eberlein, Roxann K. 5/27/1956 – 8/5/2022. Hubbard Lake, MI formerly of Saginaw, MI. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 5, 2022 at home. She was 66 years old. Roxann Kay Eberlein was born on May 27, 1956 to the late Norman and Norene (Griffor) Eberlein. She resided in Hubbard Lake with her niece Rachel Savage and her family. Roxann was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed her monthly visits and communion offering with her pastor, Joe Llewellyn. Roxy aka “Foxy Roxy” was a one of a kind, generous, funny, spunky person. She had incredible strength that most would be envious of. At the young age of 21, her life was shattered when she was in a motor vehicle accident and became paralyzed. In the accident with her was her best friend Kelsey Hargesheimer, they have remained lifelong friends. Roxy made the best of her situation and lived the life she was given to the fullest. She traveled to Las Vegas in the winters with her parents. She went on cross country vacation trips with her brother Greg and his children. She loved to paint and make homemade birthday cards. Her greatest joy was taking trips to the casino with Rachel and her caregivers. She loved Halloween and went all out with her costumes every year, sometimes changing into more than one outfit. She loved all of our family pets but especially her bird, Bella.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Left to treasure her memory are a niece, Rachel (Daniel Savage of Hubbard Lake; niece, Nicole Chavez, niece, Heidi Dziuba; nephew, Michael Prentice; great nieces and nephews, Sativa Savage, Daniel Savage III, Jayden Savage, Alexia Chaves, Aliyana Chavez, Rozlynn Prentice, William Matthes, Hunter Matthes and Skylar Dziuba. She is also survived by close family friends, Doug and Joyce Hayka.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Norman and Norene; brothers, Norman Thomas Eberlein and Gregory Eberlein and sister, Renee Prentice

Roxann’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Roxy’s caregivers for their kindness, love and care over the years. Special thanks to her current caregivers, Sara Nowicki, Brenda Walls-Marwede, Leah Somsel and Karyn Ray. We appreciate your selflessness. We could not have done this without you.
