Those left to honor Rowena’s memory include her 2 sons–Zara “Fin” (Nora) Hudson of Elyria, Ohio, and Larry John Hudson of Newton; her daughter, Kathy (Gary) Goforth of Tucson, Arizona; 3 grandchildren–Angel Ward, Kim (Brandon) Avila, and Zara Hudson; 3 great-grandchildren–Jacob Etter, Erin Burton, and Jade Avila; her sister-in-law, Loretta Nagel; and her close friends, Shellby Martin, Rich Gilbertson, Ina Peterson, and Winnie Williamson.
Rowena was preceded in death by her husband, Lavon Constant; her parents, John Nagel and Esther (Hockey) Moredock; her brother, Delmar Nagel; and her uncle and aunt, Bill and Louise Nagel.
Rowena was a graduate of Searsboro High School. She also attended business school at AIB in Des Moines. Rowena retired from Newton Manufacturing after several years of employment. She then worked as a hostess at the Newton Motor Inn; After that, she worked as a Home Health Care Aide, both privately and at Progress Industries. Rowena had most recently worked at Wal-Mart.
