Rowa Fredrick Sherer, age 72, of the Makwa Doodem (Bear Clan) and Cass Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, at the Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN. He was born in Cass Lake, MN on November 13th, 1948, to Henrietta Lovelace and Berdette Sherer.
Rowa enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and playing slots. He was an artist who loved to paint, he also enjoyed woodworking, he made totem poles and sold them to local businesses. He loved to ride “little boy” his four-wheeler and even rode in the wintertime. He loved spending time with family. He enjoyed going to pow wows and community events with his sister, Iris.
Rowa is welcomed to the spirit world by his parents, Henrietta and Berdette Sherer; brother, John Sherer; sisters, Sharon Sherer and Francis Sherer; nephew, Douglas Roberts; and brother-in-law, Henry Sherer-Nason.
Those left behind to cherish Rowa’s memory are sisters, Iris Sherer and Henrietta Sherer-Nason; nieces, Montana, Debbie, Risa, Terri, Nathalee, Rachel, and Beth; nephews, James, Rowa, William “BC”, Shaw, Sr., Gizis, Michael, Jr., Kalvin and Charles (Jessica); great nieces, Skyler, LaTisha, Keyanna, Mercedes, Ivi, Hailey, Nia, Hope, Kila, and Raelee; great nephews, Mason, Tomah, Kaden, Jace, Patrick, Shaw, Jr., Wakeen, and Jaymison; and numerous other family members and friends.
