Ross S. Hall, 80, of Meredosia, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013.

He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Meredosia, the son of Charles and Kathryn Mae Surratt Hall. He married Helen E. Malone on Mar. 21, 1951, in Keokuk, IA and she preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2012.

He is survived by four daughters and two sons, Carolyn E. Hall and Steve (Brenda) Hall, both of Meredosia, Debbie Hall of Jacksonville, Charles R. Hall of Houston, TX, Lori L. (Mark) Phillips of Golden and Lisa A. (Eric) Ebbing of Mt. Sterling; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and his special brother-in-law, George Malone of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Charles Hall in infancy and Howard Wayne Hall.

Mr. Hall retired in 1994 from National Starch after 35 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meredosia. Ross lived for fishing, and enjoyed teaching his family to fish as well. He was famous for being the family “fix-it man”.
