Ross Paul Vigil went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 78, while surrounded by his family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ross is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, MaryAnn Vigil, and his parents, Porfilo Cristostimo “Paul J.” Vigil and Mary E. Vigil. He is survived by his children Anthony (Margaret) Vigil and Valerie Vigil, his grandson Kristopher (Meghan) Watkins, his newborn great-granddaughter Alita Watkins, siblings Ray (Cathy) Vigil, Elaine (Tom) Pease, Jerry (Judi) Vigil, Jeri (Bob) Leaverton, sister in law Sue Gutierrez, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A life-long resident of Pueblo, Colorado, Ross was born on December 3, 1943. He graduated from South High School in 1961 and attended Southern Colorado State College, where he met and married his beloved MaryAnn, before enlisting in the US Navy from 1965 to 1969, serving in Vietnam as a corpsman on board the USS Sanctuary.
