Rosemary (Tuddy) Swanson, 92, of Boise passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Rosemary was born in Sauk Centre Minnesota on January 5th 1930, the only daughter of ten children born to Frank and Agnes Kettler. Their family lived in a large house on a dairy farm. All the children attended a one room schoolhouse in the country. Rosemary attended college in St. Cloud, Minnesota where she studied to become a teacher. Her first job was teaching the first grade in Mora, Minnesota where she met her future husband, Richard Swanson. They married in 1952 and had two sons before moving to Idaho in 1954, where she gave birth to two more boys. Rosemary and her husband, Richard, spent most of their time raising their four rambunctious boys, but would occasionally roll up the living room rug to dance, enjoy their evening toddy, or socialize with their many friends. Rosemary was a stay at home mom until 1964 when she took a job as the manager of the nursery at Westgate Bowling Alley. She was a much loved teacher to all the children she cared for over her 30 years. Rosemary was a devout Catholic all her life and after her retirement volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul for 25 years.
