Rosemary L. “Rose” Hupp, 67, of Weeki Wachee and formerly of Union, Mich., went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 10, while at Sturgill Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
She was born November 14, 1946, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Merwin and Blyth Willis.
On June 12, 1965, she married her husband of 49 years, James F. Hupp. He survives at home.
Also surviving is her brother, Earnest “Butch” (Rose) Willis of Elkhart, Ind. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Shaver, and one half brother, Chester Donath.
Rose was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. She was employed as a bus driver for Elkhart Community Schools for more than 34 years prior to her retirement in 2006.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4372 Ladies Auxiliary in Weeki Wachee, where she enjoyed various activities.
Rose was also an avid shuffleboard player for many years. She and her husband often enjoyed trips on her pontoon boat going down the Weeki Wachee River and into the Gulf of Mexico.
