Rosemary Craig died in her home surrounded by her family on March 15, 2021. Rosemary was a tough Alaskan lady and fought brain cancer for nearly five years. She left this world with hope and a lot of love for us all to carry on. She is a mother to three children, Alex, Thomas, and Ben, all of Anchorage, AK. Rosemary loved spending time with her kids and was there for the many adventures and travels that kept all involved young-at-heart. Whether it was fishing, camping, hunting, flying, boating, or something new she was talked into, Rosemary was there with bells on and a warm smile on her face.
Born in Carteret, NJ, Rosemary grew up in a loving family and spent her childhood summers at Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a nursing degree, Rosemary traveled the country to gain experience. She was dedicated to excellence in nursing and health administration. She possessed a level of integrity, competence, and professionalism that earned her the respect of all who worked with her. After spending time in California, Oregon, and Washington, she moved to Alaska in 1983. She lived in Wasilla, Homer, and Anchorage.
Rosemary was a proud Alaskan and called it her home, except for a two-year move to Kamuela, Hawaii, in 2016. Rosemary loved her time in Hawaii, especially the sun, time outside, and all of the people that welcomed her to the community.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Alexandra Fogarty and her husband Tom, Thomas Craig Jr., and Benjamin Craig; her sisters, Marjorie Novak and Anne Marie Nelson; nieces and nephews: Michael Novak, Monica Novak, Katrina Lacher; great-nieces and great-nephews: Amanda, Olivia, Finn, Luna, Julian, Madlyn, and Jubilee. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Chester S. and Margaret M. Mogelesky; and her nephews, Erik Nelson, and Michael Goodwin.
