Rosemary Zandecki, 85, of LaSalle, died May 22, at her home, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Zandecki was born on March 20, 1925 in Spring Valley to Martin J. and Darlene Dollie (Newton) Granfield. She graduated from Ladd public schools and Hall Township High School, class of 1943. She attended DePaul University College of Business. She worked for the Federal Office of Price Administration in Chicago. She was later employed at the Audit Control Collection Agency for 8 years, and Hummer Insurance Agency for 15 years until her retirement in 1983. She married Edwin L. Zandecki on November 19, 1949, in St. Benedict Church in Ladd.
She is survived by three daughters, Marty M. (Richard) Casolari, of Spring Valley, Ellen C. (Art) Mueller, of Ottawa, and Holly (Rick) Carrell, of Strongsville, Ohio, 5 grandchildren Greg and Megan Mueller, Brooke Morgan, and Joshua and Luke Carrell, 3 step-grandchildren, Linda Mitchell, Rick Casolari, and Kelly Baxter, 3 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, one step great-great-grandson, one sister Yvonne (Harry) Volant, of Ladd, and one brother Martin (Evelyn) Granfield of Bivier, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, on December 14, 1996, and a son, Gregory. Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Gregory and Megan Mueller, and Luke Carrell, and Richard Casolari, Rev. Rick Carrell, and Keith Volant.
