Rosemary G. Streeter, 76, of Elkhart, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness. Rosemary was born on April 10, 1945 to the late Walter and Laverne (Stanek) Golofit in Berwyn, IL. Rosemary married the love of her life, Robert Streeter, on October 2, 1965 in Round Lake, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Estella.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” Streeter of Elkhart; children, Walter (Peggy) Streeter of Goshen and Barbra (Christian) and grandson Ryan Smerz of Katy, Tx; and brothers-in-law Steve (Judy) Streeter and Dave (Kay) Streeter both of Bristol and sister-in-law Betsy (Clifford) Porter of Eureka Springs, AR.
Rosemary dedicated herself for living for Christ and others. She was Director of Religious Education at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bristol. As member of the Episcopal Church she was a L.E.M and member of The Daughters of the King and the E.C.W. Rosemary was also a L.E.M for St. Stevens in Hunstville, TX as well as their Co-Director of Student Services at the Sam Houston Community College Episcopal Student Center in Texas.
Rosemary was also a juvenile probation officer in the Elkhart area and a hospital chaplain in Cody, WY. She was an outgoing, loving woman whom gave of herself to those in need. Rosemary was an avid scrapbooker, gardener and wonderful cook and baker.
