Rosemary Caroline Eling, 88, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at her home from natural causes. Born in Keeneyville, Illinois, she was a graduate of Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She resided in Interlachen for the past 25 years coming from Bartlett, Illinois. Rosemary had worked 35 years as the Deli Manager with Jewel-Osco Grocery in several cities in Illinois and then worked for 15 years with Hitchcock’s in Interlachen.

She had also been a volunteer at the gift shop at Putnam Community Medical Center. Rosemary had been a member of St. Walter’s Catholic Church in Roselle, IL, and St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bloomingdale, IL until moving to Interlachen and then becoming a member of St. John’s The Evangelist Catholic Church where she had been active with the Ladies Guild. Rosemary was also a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #10164 in Interlachen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Halter and Lydia Slevic Halter, and a son, Randy Eling.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Robie Eling of St. Augustine, Renee Eling of Hampshire, IL, Ronnie Eling of South Elgin, IL, and Allison Widmayer of Interlachen, a brother, Edward Halter (Bev) of Pablo, CO, 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Megan Eling and numerous nieces and nephews.
