Rosemary Babb, 81, of Tallula, died Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia. She was born January 31, 1938, in Kampsville, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Bernice Wyatt Booth. She married Harold Babb on August 8, 1959, in Waverly, and he survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Rhonda Lucas and Brenda Biggs, both of Springfield; three granddaughters, Trisha Lucas of St. Louis, Tara Biggs of Ashland, and Kristi Biggs of Riverton; nine sisters, Helen Russell, Jean (Dale) Shafer, Norma (Eddie) Phillips, Sharon Crist, Linda (Gary) Smay, Patsy (Bud) Nation, Bonnie (Dale) Tomlinson, Marcia Hill, and Debbie (Rodney) Ingram; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Jack Russell and Charles Crist.
Mrs. Babb was a graduate of Virginia High School and served as a cook for Tallula Grade School. She also worked at the New Salem Gift Shop and later for the State of Illinois for ten years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Virginia.
