COLYVAS, Rosemarie (nee Calvy) 10/2/45 – 4/20/20 Rosemarie Colyvas (nee Calvy) of Broomall, Pennsylvania passed away on April 20, 2020, with her children at her side. She was a loving mother to Chris Gleklen, Angela (Sean) McGinnis, and Valerie (Gregory) Lingo, and a devoted grandmother to Serena & Vanessa Gleklen and Kaila, Skylar and Margot Lingo. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter. She surrounded herself with the love and support of her beloved siblings: Ronald (Denise) Calvy, Rita (Bill) Tobin, and Albert (Deb) Calvy, her treasured nieces and nephews, and countless family, friends, and colleagues. Rosemarie was born in West Philadelphia while her father was serving in the Philippines during WWII. She grew up in Havertown and moved with her husband to the Lawrence Park neighborhood of Broomall in 1968. A 1963 graduate of Haverford High School, she remained active with her high school class reunion committee, serving as treasurer for 55 years. She never lost her connection to Haverford High and had fun attending Italian class at the night school for many years. Rosemarie worked in the accounting field for more than 40 years, officially retiring in 2019. She worked for Dorrance Hamilton and The Little House Shop in Wayne. She was the liaison between the Pennywise Thrift Shop in Ardmore and Jefferson Hospital and served as the secretary for the Community Clothes Charity event for 20 years. She loved the theater, her wine club, and traveling. She adored her family and enjoyed the frequent company of her grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She made it a priority to ensure that everyone always had a good amount of fun…and a good amount of food…whenever she could. As a wife, she was forever devoted to her husband, Pete, and to know them as a pair was to witness the power of true love and how it can overcome any obstacle. A dedicated parent, Rosemarie was always involved in her children’s events, chairing the Girl Scout cookie sale, serving as homeroom mother, and acting as treasurer of the local swim club. Known for her bright smile and energy, her family brought her endless joy and pride.
