Rosemarie E. Porto, 39, of 2420 Whitney Ave., Hamden passed away suddenly on April 8, 2011 at her home. Born in New HavenOct. 27, 1971, she was the loving daughter of Cathy Giordano Porto of North Haven and Domenic Porto of Middletown. She graduated from GatewayCommunity College and attended Southern Conn. State University. She was an intake worker and supervisor for New Haven Community Action Energy Program for 15 years. Besides her parents, she is survived by her step mother, Hedwig “Heddy” Porto of Middletown; a brother, Dominic Giordano of New Haven; her dear friend, Tanya Levchuk with whom she resided; and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Cathleen Porto.
