Rosemarie (Perrett) DeSiena, age 82, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 11, 2018, at her home. She was born on January 3, 1936, in Scranton, PA to Rudolph and Grace (DelRosario) Perrett. She was raised in Bridgeport and was a Fairfield resident since 1964. Rosemarie attended Harding High School. Rosemarie was employed at WDJZ Radio in Bridgeport and Northwestern Mutual Insurance in Fairfield. Married to Attorney Charles L. DeSiena (1957 – 1986), she devoted herself to raising their 5 children. Rosemarie was a kind, beautiful person in and out with a great sense of humor. Rosemarie loved animals, had many over the years, dear to her heart was her beloved Mitzi, a miniature Dachshund and just recently mourned the loss of Sweet Pea, her 14 year old cat. Over the years, Rosemarie enjoyed Penfield Beach, traveling, gardening, Broadway shows, concerts, horror films and she loved music. She bowled in many leagues over the years at Mill River Country Club, Bowl A Rama & Nutmeg Bowl. As a two-time cancer survivor, she showed a courageous spirit and never complained and never lost faith. She loved God, was a proud patriotic American and cherished her family.

She is survived by her children, Darlene DeSiena of Fairfield, CT, Charlene (husband, Ken) Nixon of Fairfield, CT, Charles (wife, Andrea) of Stratford, CT, Brian (wife, Maryanne) of West Haven, CT and Louis (Kathy) DeSiena of Jacksonville, FL. Her much loved grandson, Sgt. Christopher DeSiena, USMC, granddaughters, Tiffany & Kayla Nixon, Fairfield, CT, Jessica DeSiena, Jordan & Joey DeSiena of Jacksonville, FL. Her brother, Rudy (sister-in-law, Betty), nephew, David Perrett, niece, Suzanne Perrett, Bridgeport, CT and niece/Goddaughter, Michelle Neri, Easton, CT. Also special friends, The Lillis Family, Bernie & Jean Kelley & Marge Petrino.

Her family, especially daughter, Charlene, would like to thank the following people that cared for her mother, over the years and most recently. Dr. Edward Molloy, her M.D. for 40 years (she missed you), Dr. Philip Falcone, Bridgeport (Jill & Margaret) , “your kindness to her I’ll never forget”, Dr. Christopher Iannuzzi, St. Vincent’s Cancer Care “she loved that you talked about Sweet Pea”, Dr. Glen Reznikoff, Fairfield, she enjoyed her appointments, she thought she made you laugh and thank you for everything.

A special note of thanks to a team of amazing people I only met less than a week before my mom’s passing, but I could not have found the strength in my faith alone to care for her without the compassion of VNS of Trumbull, CT, especially nurses, Thierry Beauregard, Brianna Gallant, John Morrison, Iris Simon. Also home aides, Yvonne & Sandy. There are no words. I am eternally grateful for their knowledge, kindness, and the exceptional care and compassion they showed my Mom.
