Roseann Marie Spieth, 79, of Albion, passed away on January 16, 2021, at her home.
Born in Fort Wayne, on June 4, 1941, to the late Martin and Velma (Bobay) Scherschel. She spent her formative years in New Haven, graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1959. She received her associate degree in Accounting.
Roseann was married to Bernard Spieth in New Haven, on November 5, 1960. The couple settled in Albion in the fall of 1977.
She retired after 25 years from WPTA Channel 21, where she worked as the bookkeeper.
Roseann loved to quilt and belonged to the Noble Nimble Thimbles. She enjoyed doing extensive family genealogy study.
Roseann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bernard Spieth; three daughters, Cheryl (Don) Fleckenstein, Sandra (Matthew) Bianski and Connie (Jerome) Uecker; a son, Kenneth (Laurinda) Spieth; four brothers and three sisters, Marita (Jon) Vonderau, Robert Scherschel, Patricia (Jack) Bouse, Richard Scherschel, Edward (Laura) Scherschel, Catherine Walter and Kevin (Penny) Scherschel, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Scherschel and Stephen Scherschel; a sister, Mary Jo Doster.
