Roseann K. Kozy, age 79, of Hammond, passed away on May 24, 2016.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (granny) and aunt.
She is survived by her three sons Mike (Wendy) Kozy of Griffith; Steve (Diann) Kozy of Crown Point; Mark (Sheryl) Kozy of Munster; 4 grandchildren Rhiannon, Lauren, Olivia and Denham; Sister Gloria Garwon and many nieces and nephews.
Roseann is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph, of 57 years and son Thomas.
Mrs. Kozy was born and raised in East Chicago where she graduated from Washington High School, class of 1954.
Roseann was a devoted and loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a volunteer at St. Catherina of Siena school and parish. After raising her boys, she worked at Walgreen’s for over ten years. She was a member of Rosary Society, Topps Social Club and served on the St Catherine’s of Siena Parish Counsel.
Roseann loved to cook and was always there to tell a story. She also loved to crochet and was a sewer of many dresses.
Roseann very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and could never fail to make them laugh. She was also ready to play at the Penny Slots on the Casino Boats anytime. Along with being an extraordinary Granny, she was a joyous, caring person and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
