Our wonderful mother. Rose, 98, went to join our Heavenly Father on May 2, 2016.
She was born on September 29,1917, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Clarence and Mae (Jennings) Jones, the oldest of seven children. Her given name was Clara Rosa Belle Jones as she was named after both of her grandmothers but always called Rose.
She married the love of her life, Bernard Floyd Speraw, on June 19, 1936, and celebrated sixty wonderful years of marriage before losing him to cancer on March 10th, 1997. They provided a loving home to their four children and were often the center of family gatherings enriching our lives in many ways. She had a generous heart and, although, never having much money, she always gave to others. She was a fantastic cook, loved gardening, music and dancing. Rose and Bernard were well known for their dancing ability, whether in the kitchen at home or at special events.
Rose is survived by her children, Marshia (Wyman) Larson, Seal Beach, Ca., Judy (Ron) Crandall, Flagstaff, Az., Carolyn (Jack) Stock, McGregor, Mn., and Mike Speraw, Coon Rapids, Mn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Speraw, and grandchildren Tammy Worley and Kim Vaughn. She is blessed with 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.
