Rose Snyder Hoffman, 89
East Greenbush – Rose Snyder Hoffman, 89, formerly of Snyders Corners Road of North Greenbush died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Evergreen Commons after a long illness.
Born in East Poestenkill, she was daughter of the late Peter Snyder and Mary Tomczyszyn Snyder and wife of the late William Hoffman. She had resided in East Poestenkill and South Troy her entire life.
Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker who loved baking and caning. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband and fishing at their camp on Lake Champlain.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Durgan and Darlene (Mike) Schnoop, all of Maine; her sister, Julie (Robert) Rhodes, of Poestenkill; a niece, Mary Brewer of West Sand Lake; 4 grandchildren, Bryan and Brett Lewis and James Bielawa and Bobby Belleard; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Stella Catone, Mary Saniski, Helen DeCelle, Ann Lebentritt and Katherine Timber and three brothers Peter, Bruno, and John Snyder.
