Rose M. “Rosie” Wailes, 84, of Moberly, passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Peoria, Arizona. Rose was born November 27, 1935 at Eccles, Lancashire, England to the union of Issac and Mary (Grimshaw) Bailey. She married Bobby D Wailes, December 24, 1954 in England and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1997.
Prior to her retirement she worked at Orscheln Brake Lever, Patterson’s, Walmart, and volunteered at Moberly Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her children Byron Wailes and his wife Paola, of Florida, Danny Wailes and his wife Diane of Moberly, Robert Wailes and his wife Tammy of Moberly, Cathy Jones and her husband Terry of Peoria, AZ, and Richard Wailes of Huntsville, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was known as “Rosie” to most and had a special fondness for angels as they could be found in every room of her house. She also enjoyed her flowers in her yard, bowling on a league, and spending time with family and friends. In earlier times, the family weekends were spent camping and fishing. Most will remember their first time meeting her as many have commented about their joy in listening to her English accent. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
